The ceiba is a tree (Ceiba pentandra, fam. Bombacacee) very important in the cultures of Mesoamerica. The height of the plant can reach 70 m, with a trunk diameter of up to 4 meters at the base, supported by strong ribs and in the juvenile phase protected by wooden spikes. Considered sacred for centuries it was used as the guideline in the forest. In the shade of this tree were held religious ceremonies, and were buried the wise men of the community. When the Spaniards arrived, the ceiba, normally indicated in the Mayan culture as a cross, becomes a link between the existing religion and the one imported from Europe. Even today, in religious iconography, the Christian cross and the image of the ceiba are superimposed. How to help
Donations are used for the planting of ceiba. This is done by rewarding local workers involved in the planting and maintenance of trees.

Who gives obtains that his name is associated with the project (quoted in tabula gratulatoria, board on the website, on-site signage and other modalities to be defined).

The project has three categories of donors:

Seeds: small donations, ranging from 1 to 50 euro. You get your name on the website in the list of seeds and subscription to the newsletter of the Association to be informed about current initiatives.

Planters: donations exceeding 50 euro and less than 500 euro. You get the planting of a ceiba tree, your name on the website in the list of planters and a card in the wood under the ceiba planted, membership of the association newsletter to be informed about current initiatives, access free guided to Reserva (in the case of a trip to Mexico).

Great supporters: important donations over € 500, paid by bank a / c. You get the planting of one or more Ceibas, your name or company featured on the website, on a card in the wood under the ceiba planting and posters on site, free guided access to Reserva (in the case of a trip to Mexico), membership of the association newsletter to be informed about current initiatives.
