The team of the Ranchito has finished, thanks to Mexican and Spanish speleo-divers (for a lack of material and not of motivation!) the exploration of the siphon in the Cueva del Naranjo taking it to 325 meters of length and 30 of depth. There the gallery continues downward keeping a considerable dimension for a siphon (about 7-8 meters of diameter).
The 8 participants of Antros speleological group from Costa Rica have been given an advanced course of self-rescuing. These 8 and other 8 Italians and 2 Mexicans right today have approached the Cueva del Rio la Venta to begin the transverse route with the aim to improve some progression equipment (damaged by the big and frequent floods) thanks to the presence and material provided from the firm Raumer.
By the way this journey will use some material of New Food to test it in such an extreme situation.
The team that is continuing the exploration in the Selva el Ocote thanks to the satellite phone provided by Intermatica let us know that all is going well and at their coming back they’re going to tell us many new adventures.
Next Sunday, 29 of August, we are going to give the diplomas to the participants at the course of the colonies then, in the afternoon, at the Home of Culture of Cintalapa at 18 we are going to present the results of the explorations and of the other works of the last years.
Thanks again to all our sponsors (Amphibious, Bialetti, Boscarol, De Walt, Dolomite, Ferrino, Intermatica, New Foods, Powertrek, Scurion), Municipalidad de Cintalapa de Figueroa and Reserva El Ocote.
