During the expedition were covered approximately 1600 km with boats on gigantic rivers and small tributaries, several hours of walking through the jungle up to the 1000 meters of altitude of the tepui and prospection and numerous rounds in the area of the Abyss Guy Collet.
Samples of water and rock will be analyzed in Sao Paulo and then in Italy at the University of Bologna.
In conclusion the area has both surface and deep karst but to move in exploration walking involves enormous efforts and long times. Without detailed images of the surface or precise information of local people it becomes impossible to find more distant areas to explore.
We will see in the future if it will be possible and if it is worth returning to this wonderful plateau surrounded by the Amazon rainforest.
