A single bearer. Not enough for an expedition with so much scientific material. So the transport to the refuge Buscaini took two trips of about 7 hours to cover the 12 kilometers that separate it from the starting point of the path.
The start was not hopeful. But luckily it was at least mitigated by the absence of cold. Indeed, from a real presence of an abnormal hot that even allows to move and work in T-shirt. Not a good news for the existence of the glacier!
This aspect is compromising the opportunity to go deep into the glacier. The mills are practically flooded and on the side of the explorations they could do very little.

In return, the scientific research are progressing fast. Were sampled many crioconytes and even carried out on the field the sequencing of the DNA of biological material detected inside them. In addition, the part of the mapping with laser scanning and aerial photogrammetry is going forward very fast. The only hitch was the need to send a person to refuel the generator that consumes more than expected to power all instruments.

Tomorrow will begin to take down the camp of the Refuge and, hopefully, with the help of three bearers and the ranger that has been assigned them, will begin the return phase to the valley.
