A first phone call telling us of a long way to approach. 10 hours of run loads of monstrous backpacks, 19 kilometers of trails for 1300 meters in altitude. And only a mule who, poorly, did two trips to bring it all to the heights. However, being foreigners had to lengthen the way to avoid a forbidden military zone.

This meant that we could not bring the water for which more animals would have been transported. And we will see how this changes things for our friends.

The other day they set up the field and yesterday the first works started. The entrance to the huge pit was rerouted to as little as 150 and finally made some first photos. Another team has recovered the water in the only possible place: a puddle at the base of a 130m pit! They have to go up and down to make sure to drink and cook. Certainly not the most convenient solution.

Today, a first team has continued to equip the pit to the bottom. Hope is that this way tomorrow can be fully documented. A second team went looking for new entrances but without big luck: tens and dozens of great valleys but no hypogeal voids. Finally, the third team went down to a cave that had been exploring since last year, but at the time of the call they did not leave.

To know what they did and what they will do in the coming days, listen!
